How to Watch a Whole TeraBox Folder, One Video After Another

Someone shared a folder of twenty videos, not one. Here's how folder links work, how to play through them without opening twenty tabs, and why downloading a whole folder is slower than it looks.
What a folder link looks like
Exactly like a file link — terabox.com/s/1abc… — which is why it's confusing. You can't tell from the address. The difference shows when it opens: a file link shows a player, a folder link shows a list of names.
Opening a folder and seeing what's inside
Paste the link into our player as usual. If the link holds more than one video, they appear as a row of tabs above the player, named as the sender named them. Tap any tab to play that file. The one you're watching is highlighted.
Only playable video files appear as tabs. If the folder also has photos or documents, they're skipped — this is a video player, not a file manager.
Playing them one after another
Tap the next tab when one finishes. The player keeps the quality you picked and your volume. There's no autoplay-next yet; if you'd use it, say so — it's on the list.
Keyboard users: T toggles theatre mode for a wider view of the tab row.
Downloading a whole folder (and why it's slow)
There's no single "download folder" button, and it's worth understanding why rather than just wanting one. Each file is a separate download from TeraBox, and TeraBox's free tier serves one file at a time at limited speed. Twenty 300 MB videos is six gigabytes that will arrive one after another at whatever rate TeraBox allows — typically an hour or more. A single zip would be no faster; it would just hide the progress.
What works: tap each tab, press Download, and let them queue in your browser. On a computer, a download manager that resumes interrupted files is worth having for anything this size. More on downloads that stop.
Picking just the videos out of a mixed folder
Already done for you — see above. If a video you expected isn't in the tabs, it's probably in a format TeraBox doesn't recognise as video (some .mkv files, .ts captures). Ask the sender to share that file directly; the download will still work even when playback doesn't.
When a folder has hundreds of files
The tab row scrolls sideways. It's usable but not elegant past fifty or so. For a huge folder, the better path is to ask the sender for the link to the specific file you want — in TeraBox, every file inside a shared folder can be shared on its own.
Folder problems and fixes
- "No playable video found." The folder has no videos in it, or every file is in a format we don't recognise. Download one and try VLC.
- Only some videos appear. Same cause as above for the missing ones. Occasionally TeraBox hasn't finished processing a recently uploaded file; wait a few minutes and reload.
- The folder is empty. The sender moved or deleted the contents. Ask for a fresh link.
- The folder needs a password. Look for
pwd=in the link or a code in the sender's message.
Common questions
Can I watch a TeraBox folder on my phone?
Yes. The tabs scroll horizontally on a phone screen. Everything else works the same.
Can I download a TeraBox folder as a zip?
Not from here, and not from TeraBox's free tier either. See the download section for why it wouldn't help much even if you could.
Does opening a folder count as one play or many?
One play per video you actually start. Opening the folder and looking at the list is free.
